Today, Capcom revealed two brand new characters to the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster: Storm & C. Viper. Well.. Storm isn’t entirely new, but new in some regards. Check the vidz after the jump!
With some much needed estrogen on Marvel’s side of the roster, Capcom revealed one of Marvel’s most iconic female super heroes: Storm! Also added to the MVC3 roster is Street Fighter’s own C. Viper. It comes as no surprise that C. Viper would be revealed, as fan boys have spotted her silhouette months ago. Check out their reveal and game play videos below, and an analysis of some minor changes to Storm’s move set.
Storm Reveal
From the looks of it, it seems that Storm has much of the same moves as her MVC2 counterpart. Some minor changes we’ve noticed are:
- Her Horizontal winds are much faster, while her Vertical typhoon sports 2 wind columns and has a longer start up time than in MVC2
- “Lightning Storm” (Lvl 1 Super) covers less area than before, with more of an average radial reach.
- “Hail Storm” (Lvl 1 Super) is much flashier and sports larger/sharper shards of ice…and can also OTG!
- Storm has an additional Lvl 1 Super, let’s call it “Gaia” for all intensive purposes. It encases enemies in ice as she summons the arctic winds and a hail storm to get rid of you.
C. Viper Reveal
Fans of Street Fighter 4 will be happy to know that the flashy American double agent C. Viper has been added to the MVC3 roster! Some things to note:
- C. Viper has an 8 way air-dash courtesy of her high tech boots
- Her SF4 Super as a Lvl 1 Hyper, her SF4 Ultra as a Lvl 1 Hyper, and her SSF4 Ultra 2 as a Lvl 3 Hyper
- Her Seismos are larger and provide for an instant air dash (mid screen)
