[Rumor] Tomb Raider Reboot to Feature Multiplayer?

With the New Year coming there are new rumors to digest and this one is a bit of a surprise:

UK retail outlet GAME might have accidentally leaked a top-secret detail about the highly anticipated Tomb Raider reboot.
According to All Games Beta, the retailer had recently added the following detail to its Tomb Raider product listing, before abruptly removing it: “play a variety of multiplayer modes as Lara’s Shipmates or Yamatai’s Scavengers.”

While multiplayer in traditionally single player games is nothing new for some reason I never imagined it in a Tomb Raider game. Do you think multiplayer would be a good fit for the next Tomb Raider?
