Face-Off Friday: “Duel of the Disappointments”

by Brian Nettey

Today marks the end of our Mega Man tribute, so sad, and we’re going to end it with a not so happy debate. Face-Off Friday is where we take two related things and pit them against each other to let the fans decide. This Face-off will be concerning the two biggest Mega Man disappointments in recent memory. On one side we have the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3 (of course) and on the other side we have every form of Mega Man being left out of Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Mega Man Legends 3 cancellation

What’s there to say that hasn’t been said already. Mega Man Legends 3 was supposed to have a prototype demo come out before it. The demo was going to be the scale to determine if Mega Man Legends 3 was going to head towards full production. Capcom even asked for fans to get involved, add their input into developing the game. Then the game was cancelled. Just like that, why? Apparently, the game didn’t seem like a profitable endeavor anymore…LAME!

No Mega Man in Marvel vs Capcom 3

Before the release of Marvel vs Capcom 3 fans eagerly waited for info as each new characters slowly trickled in. As time went on, the terrible news was made clear. There would be NO Mega Man in the game, we would instead get Zero. Why, you ask, because Mega Man’s moves would not translate well into the game…LAME!
